I’m enjoying a quiet, overcast, drizzly morning with a cup of coffee. Mr. G is out the door to work and the kidlets are still sleeping. How long do you think I can keep calling them kidlets when the oldest is my height? I say, FOREVER!!
Since it is so gloomy I decided to light my tea cup candle while I read and sip my coffee.
Knitting group is on the docket for today as well as a little back to school shopping. School supplies have been purchased and are packedĀ in the backpacks. Big J is in denial while Little J is excited to go back in just over a month.
Gracie is attempting to will away the rain with her mind so that we can go sit outside. Good luck kitty. Maybe we canĀ enjoy a little time later but that concrete has to dry to make it comfy for furry paws.
What are you doing today?

I’ve always loved those tea cup candles you made. They are not just beautiful, but so functional.
I’ve been saying how hot and dry it is here. Well, it’s still a bit hot and muggy, but we’ve had rain for at least five or six days in a row here. We’re stuck in a weather pattern that just “peats and repeats.” Or is that “rains and rerains?” Seems we’ve (Wichita) already broken the rain record for July and it’s not even the end of the month, yet.
All Bleubeard can do is sit and watch, too. He’s been eying Gracie, though! And he likes her concrete a lot better than his back patio!!
Thanks for stopping by for T. Love the tea cup candle, and I still refer to my sons as babies at 37 and 35 so I agree with FOREVER!
kidlets forever, yes i like it.
return to school… i remember such mixed emotions through the years.
it’s overcast here but no rain so far. it’s still and muggy. when it rains i feel drawn to a good book. of course, i always feel drawn to a good book ;)
what a sweet little candle, and lovely photos! good luck with the back-to-school preparations. I sort of miss that now that my kids are grown up. (and yes, they will always be your babies no matter how old they get!)
I love the way cats always think the weather at the back door will be different from the weather at the front door. My dogs don’t care very much either way so long as they can race around and play chase. I now have books in the conservatory, which I am reading through before getting rid of them, and then I read every night on my Kindle. I cannot read too much in the day otherwise I just go to sleep. Our weather has been good today and I have managed to do some crafting so it has been a good day. Thank you for your visit and hope “your babies” managed to get up and get sorted today. You never stop worrying about them, do you. xx Maggie
Love the tea cup candle. Love candles anyway oh and Tea cups so the combo is perfect
sounds like a purrfectly perfect morning. My son went back to school today. You can cringe, it’s okay. I still can’t get over it.
love the tealight in the cup, very pretty.
happy T day

Here in NY we were stuck in a hot & humid weather pattern followed by days of rain. Finally have a break here. Happy T Tuesday!
Such a pretty tea cup candle. All my offspring are grown and married. I still like back to school supplies though. When the stores put out piles of notebooks and pencils and crayons I turn into a 6 year old who wants some of everything.

Such a pretty photo of your teacup candle (putting that idea at back of mind for when I get home and have some spare old teacup and saucers) and its a bit overcast here in Brisbane too… the cats are hugging warmed wheatbags as though it were -20 !! Hope it dries up so she can go out and play. Annette
Lovely teacup candle! Hope the kitty was able to go outside today. Hugs.
My mother used to make tea cup candles. Thanks for the sweet memories your post brought up.
Hi Halle – I have had the worst issue with blogger and couldn’t visit yesterday – but better late than never – love you teacup candle – hope you have a great week see you next T for Tuesday… Mxx
Lovely cup and I would guess looks even better at night when the soft light shows through the china, and your kitty could be related to Jinx! (That’s not his name, but he’s been with us for so long now he answered to Jinx! ) He’s here now, thinking he’d like to learn to type!
A puuuuurfect cup for T! ((Lyn))
Thanks for popping by with kind comments Halle. Yes, you can keep them as kidlets for forever. My baby{she hates that} is 16 too. A tea light and coffee lsounds good to me. Today the sun is shinning, I am on my way to the garage shortly to try and finish assembling a window I am making for my ‘Playhouse’ . Then off to house hunt with my oldest DD by noon. Keep smiling and creating. Pam
