Another cold and dreary day had me wishing for a beach vacation. It’s something Mr. G and I have talked about many times over the years. We just haven’t taken the plungeĀ on booking our tropical dream vacation.
Now I worry…because coming up with more things to worry about is super healthy…that we’ve raised this dream vacation up so high in our minds that the real deal won’t be able to measure up.
My thoughts lined up, once again, with the monthly challenge at Art Journal Journey.
What a wonderful journal spread, makes me want to dip my feet in the sea right now! Thanks so much for joining us at Art Journal Journey, Valerie
I love your spread! It is just gorgeous!
Thank you very much for joining us again at Art Journal Journey Halle!
Have a great new weeke!

This is absolutely STUNNING. I know what you mean by anticipation sometimes being greater than the actual event. But at least you put your dreams onto paper, and in a fantastic spread. I really, really, really like the beads on the side of the page. That is extremely clever and looks very beachy.
This is a lovely anticipatory artwork with its beautiful blues and sand colours.
Hope you manage to get your beach holiday one day.
I love your page. It has great texture. And its good to dream and have goals. Even if you never take that vacation, it is always fun (and probably good for your soul) to have something to wish for. Plus you are right-it would probably never be what you think it would be.
Isn’t it so true, vacations are always fantasies in our head and hard to make them as good as we envision. I like your beach though and could use a few days in a tropical setting. Lovely. xox
Love this beachy page, Halle. Don’t worry, the adventure you go on will exceed your expectations by the small, simple fact that you and your loved one (s) are there enjoying it with you. It’s people, not places that make the best memories.
oh Halle, this is truly beautiful! Love that color, and the texture, and dangles! Yes, a beach vacation sounds wonderful, and I highly recommend Panama City Beach, Florida during winter. It’s not so crowded, cause it’s not so warm then. There are lots of people from Minn. , Canada, even Nova Scotia when we visited in Feb.! So even though it’s not warm enough to go swimming in Feb., the water is the color of your spread and the sand is white. But maybe you were thinking more along the lines of the Bahamas…where it IS hot! It’s wonderful that art can take us wherever we want to go! Gorgeous work!
Gorgeous textured and rich pages Halle!
The baubles are such a great touch too.
You know we waited a lifetime for our perfect Caribbean getaway and found Turks & Caicos Islands to be everything we hoped for (thank you Costco).
Now we’re thinking could it possibly be that wonderful a second time :-)
Hope you get to make that trip.
