I seem to be drawn to this color combo lately. The Bordeaux wines, creams, and Spring greens. Perhaps it’s from looking outside and only seeing bleak tones of white, grey and brown for the past few months. I need something fresh yet a bit moody.
Adding stitching and layers also seems to be right up my alley as well. I can’t get enough texture!
I continue to challenge my machine to see how far I can push it. I used to be afraid to stitch on paper thinking I’d need a whole separate machine for my mixed media pursuits. I realized long ago that I was so very wrong.
I’m linking up with Art Journal Journey today with my Dear Diary journal page for the current theme of Every journal page tells a story.
Since a diary is very personal there are no actual words shown…they are all hidden. I know what is under the layers and that’s all that matters.
Wonderful journal page, and like that you are hiding the words, I hide a lot under my layers, too. I can stitch with my machine on paper and cardboard, and do it a lot, I just try to sew more slowly. Thanks for joining us again at AJJ, hugs, Valerie
This is utterly beautiful Halle!
I am thrilled about your beautiful page!
Thank you very much for joining us at Art Journal Journey again!
Great!

That is a rich and luxurious looking page today Halle. Something about those colors together make me think of a pre-1900 fancy livingroom with fringe and a rich thick rug. No cold winter floors with that rug. Thanks for joining us today at AJJ. I’ve got a whole story running in my brain right now after seeing your page. Hugs-Erika
This is beautiful, Halle! It is my favourite colour combination.
The textures, the colors, the sewing, the drips on the tag. This is incredible. Truly fantastic.
Nice page, I love the different ways did you used for creating.
