I was inspired to create this page after the Holiday choir concert J took part in at his school. The holiday concert is always a highlight of the season but this one felt a little more special. The school went through a rough time just a couple days before and this beautiful concert was a first step in healing and moving forward…erasing the ugly and replacing it with good.
Yes I know some of my letters are wonky. I’m totally ok with that. It shows yet another way we can turn things around,
The image is cut from a Thomas Kinkade Christmas card…it just worked perfectly to reflect my theme.
I used my sewing machine to stitch it down.
Linking up with Art Journal Journey for the current theme of Light and Darkness.
I love how you stitched the image onto your page and that shade of blue with the music notes showing through is so beautiful :-). The wonky letters are perfect – I love it! Have a great week! J :-)
Kincade does Christmas like no other. This is a gorgeous addition. Did you heat emboss that music, or did it come all raised and shimmery like that? I know Valerie is going to love it.
Just to let you know, today I picked out the computer of my dreams and a good friend of Scott’s and Scott are going to build it for me. I’m simply thrilled and it won’t be like any other on the planet. I’ll share it on my blog once it’s built and in my hands. Mr. G will be envious (or smiling because of my choices).
Also, I hope you’ll look at this post: http://alteredbooklover.blogspot.com/2016/12/craft-barns-penultimate-letter-m.html
I’m sure you will recognize a few things on it, dear friend.
Loving this page. Its feels like winter-but beautiful winter. Happy holidays.
