Just a simple cup of tea today…nabbed this box of the clearance rack at our local co-op. It’s pretty good.
Time to check a few things off that “to-do” list  before going to babysit again.
Go see if my friends are doing more interesting things than myself today… You’ll find the list on Kimmies blog.

I got a call this morning asking if I’d want to make a custom paper bag book that would be at a memorial service. My friend Sandy explained that her uncle had been a real Montana cowboy if there ever was one. A simple man who spent his whole life being a cowboy…working cattle and horses…riding the rodeo…
I was touched that her mom had requested one of these books for her brother’s service. I got to work immediately since time is of the essence. She told me I could share the photos of the book.

There are lots of tags as well as some vintage postcards from Montana tucked into the pockets. Plenty of space for friends and family to write little notes, tell stories or simply sign their name.

A message left on my cupboard doors.

Another super busy Tuesday for me. Just coffee for today.

I had to turn the photo black and white because my beautiful amber pendant lights over my sink turned the photo such a sickly color. No time to retake silly photos for today…

Go see what everyone else is up to today over at Kimmies blog!

My BFF from high school, Sandy, shared a few of her dearly departed Grandmother’s bread recipes with me last week.

Yesterday, I tried the Honey Oatmeal bread…. As you can see, it didn’t turn out quite as planned. It’s still tasty, just short and dense.

Today I had much better results! I used her bun recipe only I made it with half wheat and half white flours instead of all white flour. I can’t wait to sample one!!

After a little nudge…I thought I’d show some of my pages. Some of these have been shown on the blog before quite a while ago. The rest were made in my pre-blogging days.

I’m only showing my pages as I didn’t ask permission from the others to display their work.

Please forgive the weird formatting…not sure whats up with the pictures and why they won’t go where I want them!

I started this AB years ago with a few tip-ins from a swap. I love quotes… It seemed like the perfect theme. Alas, I ran out of steam on the project. It was set aside…forgotten.  Recently, I’ve had the drive to finish those UFOs (unfinished objects) sitting around basically to free up space and cross things off my on-going list.

I asked my good friend Elizabeth if she’d make a tip-in or two for me…  She came up with the idea of hosting a tip-in swap on abc_alteredbookclub. Sweet!
Just look at the end result! A completed book! Well, truthfully, there are spots for 3 more quote pages if they were glued directly down but for all intensive purposes…this is officially crossed off my list!!!!
