This is the only kind of snow I want to see anymore this year! Cute faced little snowmen on my side table.
I’m sitting warming up from moving more snow…this time off the roof…again. I have a big pile in the driveway..waiting for the plow to come through before blowing it all away.
Yesterday, the boy and I spent almost and hour and a half trying to get to an appt that was only 13 miles from our house. The roads were crazy due to the temperature and rate of snowfall right at rush hour. Or maybe I should say rush HOURS. The plow trucks weren’t able to keep up with it and it was a little too cold for the chemicals to properly work.
UGH…can you tell I’m still bitter about the snow.
Ok..back to my tea…relax…deep breaths… ah that’s better.
Go see what my Tea Tuesday friends are up to today. You’ll find the links over on Kimmies blog.
While I was under the weather but well enough to do something…I decided to crochet another twirly scarf. This time I used some worsted weight wool (I think) that I bought at a local yarn shop while on my quest to learn to knit. Shockingly, it only took me about 2 hrs total. Such a quick and awesome pattern.
Tonight as I was picking up the dinner dishes I noticed what was keeping my girl so captivated at her plate…
Love in angel hair pasta… oh, to be 8 again….
My mom surprised me with a small box of “orphaned” cups and saucers last week. (ah…who is it that used that on their blog!!!)
She said…” Don’t know what you’ll do with these but I’m sure you’ll find something. Or else sell them.”
This one was in instant favorite for me. It looks like a mug but is very small in size.
I know this cup is very old. I’m hanging onto this one as is. It will find a home in my lawyers cabinet when I’m not using it.

Found this great looking book at the thrift store and knew it would make a fantastic book purse.
I reclaimed the handles off a super ugly purse from the same thrift store and dug through my fabric stash for the lining.
I went ahead and listed it in my Etsy store a little earlier today.
These are the days I don’t like living in Minnesota.
Here’s a snapshot of my desktop from a little bit ago. That is actual air temp…not wind chill.
And, yes, the kids have school…on time…standing at the bus stop. Poor things. Their only exposed area was a little slit for the eyes. At least they’ll have indoor recess today.
I cleaned up my art zone a little bit yesterday…enough to do a quick page in an altered book.
I used some of the scrap laying around the workspace for this page. I still need to get to work on some similar themed swap pages.
I also started work on yet another attempt at a braided rug. Things are going much better this time around… *quickly knocking on wood*
The morning sky was pretty so I thought I’d share it with you. The photo was taken through the glass of the patio door. Way to chilly to stand outside for a lousy photo op for me.
