I was feeling the need to just paint. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to DO so I grabbed some paper and just DID.
It was really fun and free. As in free like a bird, of course.
So I ended up with a 9×12 sheet of watercolor paper covered with random painting..mostly geometric in style.
I decided to cut it up a bit for card backgrounds.
Sort of like serendipity pages.
I made these three cards and have some painted page left over for who knows what.
I did a few more background sheets that haven’t fired up my inspiration yet. I figure the more I push it…the less inspired I get.
In the mean time I’m getting more cards made. I found out today that I’ll be able to do another craft show in April. Nothing like a deadline to get me working!!
Great cards! Is your “Happy Birthday” a stamp or are you a really uniform printer? Either way. I like it. I never thought of making my own background like that.
i love your backgrounds. good luck at the craft show!
Your cards are great! I like to paint larger pieces and then cut it into smaller postcards but I like your idea of doing cards.
Your painted backgrounds make your cards really original and cool Halle!
Sounds like fun to get to playing with paint and see where it leads…
an April deadline is a great way to get to producing art!

I love these painted backgrounds. They are really awesome. I am thrilled for you to have a craft show. I can’t seem to get up the courage.
Lovely card works. I think it is wonderful that you make your own
backgrounds. These certainly feel very peaceful and happy.
Keep smiling and creating.
