T Tuesday: seed starting edition

Last updated : April 10, 2016

Good Morning! Welcome to another edition of T stands for Tuesday.  T stands for Tuesday_200

Lets keep our fingers crossed that my back stays in good shape now! Geesh that was a long haul. I apologize for not stopping by many, if any, blogs for the past week.

Every year I start my seeds the week of St. Patrick’s Day.seed starting By the time we can safely plant outdoors, I’ll have nice size plants to set into the garden…or gardens as the case may be. My in-laws are graciously letting me plant in their garden again this year in addition to my two small garden plots.

So what’s in those cups?

  • 3 variety of tomatoes
  • 2 variety of peppers
  • cucumbers
  • spaghetti squash

I will also be starting some herbs in pots and sowing seeds directly into the gardens when the time comes. We love having fresh herbs and veggies with our meals…especially when they are straight from the garden!plant vigil

Miss Gracie is keeping vigil over the seeds while watching the critters romp.

I’m off to run a few errands, stop to see my knitting group then make a ton of phone calls to get our ducks in a row for Little J’s upcoming knee surgery. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

What are you doing today?

I’m glad your back is a bit better. You and I seem to have similar back problems. Sitting in front of a computer doesn’t help. You have a nice amount of seeds started. I don’t have room for anything except herbs, so I’ll stick with them. I really like that you always have such a large bounty. Nice to have an extra plot of ground to work from, too. And just think. Your in-laws foot the water bill (grin).

Gracie looks ready to take on the job of guarding the seeds. She’s such a cutie.

Thanks for joining us for T this Tuesday with your cups of seeds and Gracie’s gorgeous face.

Good for you on getting an early start on the planting. My tomatoes plants are nearing 8″ tall, bell peppers are right behind them, and I can’t do without those fresh herbs either.

Sending prayers for a speedy surgery and even speedier recovery.

    Happy T-day

I used to do all my planting from seed but just don’t have the room now, so I am envious of your seeds; but I do wish you bountiful harvests ;)
Best wishes to your daughter for her surgery, I will keep you all in my thoughts.
    Happy T Day :D

I admire you for planting and caring from seedlings-I have no patience-and not even a green pinkie for it. Thankfully we share a nice garden with our neighbors-who take care of the planting. We do the tilling and help weed and enjoy it all:) Thoughts and prayers for little J. Happy T day!

I always enjoy garden posts and like seeing your progress here. I don’t have much space, so most of my gardening “fix” comes from looking at what others are doing. Thanks!

Sooo good to see you this morning. I haven’t checked the blogs I follow in a long time, sorry, you always give the ambition to get into my craft room and become creative. I love Gracie’s dedication to your seedlings, good Kitty!!
    Hope J recuperates quickly.

I need to start some seeds, it seems so far away as the ground is still covered with snow (but the driveway is all asphalt!) Miss Gracie is gorgeous.

What is in the container next to the cups?

Your little cups with the seeds inspire me. I too planted some tomatoes seeds here and they sprouted. Best wishes for little J’s knee surgery.
    Prayers and hugs your way

Hello and Happy T Day! How nice to see some seeds taking place, love the sweet guardian over them too. Can’t wait to see your garden in bloom as well as ours. Hubby wants to do things different this year and we aren’t agreeing on some of them, lol.

Hope your day of errands was a good one and prayers for the knee surgery. My day was spent taking care of a sick one, it was a long day for her and today she is doing better. I like the day after sick days, we can rest better and enjoy some movies and bonding time.
    Have a good week!

Hello Halle! This is my first T-Day visit and I am beginning to get excited (and a wee bit jealous) about how Spring is starting all over the world EXCEPT where I live, In Alberta, Canada, snug up against the Rockies…. we have at LEAST another month… but I am beginning to remember just what it feels like as I scroll through all your lovely posts! TFS! (thanks for sharing)
