This page I created for A Stitch in Time didn’t start out with this in mind. I was creating a masterboard of sorts to cut apart into postcards, tags etc. Its one of my new favorite techniques.
It is also a great way to use up scraps. A real non-thinking activity. I will often listen to a podcast or YouTube while gluing down my scraps. Its therapeutic really.
After completely this masterboard this section spoke to me. I decided to cut a 7 x 7 square to fit in my scrapbook journal. I’ve been kind of obsessed with butterflies lately so it doesn’t surprise me that one found its way onto my page.
We have one more day left of June and A Stitch in Time!
This is absolutely beautiful, Halle. I am a proud recipient of one of your masterboard pieces, and love it. However, MOST masterboards, at least the ones my British friends make, are stamped images. You stamp at least three images all over the paper, then cut it up. I think I like your idea better and it IS a great way to get rid of scraps. I love the colors you chose, the perfect sewing, and the butterfly. I bet you couldn’t sew wonky if your life depended on it (grin)!!! Thanks for yet another inspiring entry at Art Journal Journey using your theme, dear friend.
I like your composition here, with the buttons and lace.
Wow! This is simply stunning Halle! I love it! Such a great idea to create a masterboard from your scraps too. I will use that idea.
Happy new week,

It’s beautiful, Halle! You make it sound so simple, but the master board technique would be difficult for me! Eileen xx
Halle this is a great page. That little streak of bright pink, swoon. This is great layering and a very pretty page. Hope your new week has started well. Hugs-Erika
It is so cute designed and embroidered. I love it with all the details on it. A work of art again one of many.
Greetings Elke
