My recently retired neighbor asked me over for an impromptu version of craft club today. Since I didn’t have a dozen other things to worry about, I remembered to bring my camera.
There were 4 of us making cards for various occasions. Since there were fewer of us than evening craft club, we were able to spread out a lot more.
These were some of the cute cards that my fellow crafter’s made today.
I love the clever cards with the gift if money as part of the scene. She said that she was behind with Christmas cards but figured when they saw the cash they forget all about it being late. :)
I’ll share what I made another day. The lighting was terrible by the time I thought about photographing mine here at home.
crafting sounds perfect on a cold day…you’re right about the card with the money, it will be a hit! really cute cards, one and all!
Any time is a good time to make cards and crafts with friends!
Sounds like fun! All the cards are great but I love the one with the money tree.
Seems the only time I make cards is when I go to Kathy’s. We spend at least a couple of days working on them, but she gets bogged down in the details. I like to make them a bit quicker, but she puts a lot into hers and it shows.
I agree that a bag for trash is perfect. When I had play dates with Dana and Kathy, I provided large handled paper bags that could either sit by their chair, or on the back of it. I’ve never found tape that was strong enough to hold a bag AND my trash. At the end of each play day, all trash got dumped in the trash container that holds another bag, this one plastic, and we folded the paper bags up for use another time.
Glad you had a good time. Your friend made some clever cards with the money. She could even wait till Presidents Day, too. After all, all those bills have dead presidents on them (grin).
what a lot of fun to get together with crafty friends and PLAY!
those are some very nice cards
