Good morning! I’m once again linking up with T stands for Tuesday where we grab a beverage and have a little chat hosted by Elizabeth.
I talked about my garden here at home as well as the one at my in-laws but you’ve never seen the the space at the in-laws.
It’s a really big garden! They downsized from the original when the critters got so bad they had to put a 5ft fence around.
She has a huge strawberry patch! We picked almost 4 quarts last Saturday. YUM!! The boy snapped this photo of us covering the patch with bird netting after the harvest. He told me he took a few photos when I asked him to put away my camera. He said he found photography relaxing. :)
After a hot day in the garden there we came home, had a late lunch and a well earned glass of wine.
Any guess on what these flowers are??
You’ll never guess… Horseradish!! My horseradish was blooming. I cut off the tops to save the energy for the plant.
I, of course, have a few errands today. I hope to be back inside before the forecast 97°F hits this afternoon. YUCK!
What are you doing today?
You have a fantastic garden at your in-laws. I’ve never been able to grow strawberries, but that is the only way I’ll eat them.
Glad to read that big J likes taking photos. Maybe you should take him along when you do your summer photo scavenger hunt. It might be just the thing he needs to look at things from another perspective.
I’ll be sleeping in the heat, since I’ve been up all night reading blogs and trying to get a few videos to load. Loved the horseradish flowers.
Thanks for sharing the garden and the photos with us for T this Tuesday, dear friend. Stay as cool as possible.
i think i´ve never seen blooming horseradish before! cool to make a flower Bouquet of them. and i envy you of having strawberries yourself. yumm!!
happy t- day, halle!
Our weather sounds similar…I am NOT a fan of HOT & HUMID.
What a great garden = fresh berries oh my!
My FIL used to make his own horseradish from his garden grown adding a few beets to give it a nice pink color.
Have to agree with your son…photography IS relaxing and so much fun and how nice digital doesn’t cost anything like back in the day when we were almost afraid to snap a photo in case it wasn’t good and wasting developing $$$
Happy T Day Halle

That does look like a big and productive garden. I would never have guessed horseradish. But then I have never seen horseradish blooming…or growing, for that matter–LOL! Happy T-Day! :)
oh I can just imagine those delicious strawberries! What a nice spacious garden. Love the sweet vase of “wildflowers”-would never have thought they were from the horseradish plants. I may have to convince my neighbor to plant some:) And I do like horseradish too. Happy T day!
We have decided not to have a garden at this new home or it would be an endless fight against the critters and thats no fun… its suppose to be fun right? :) Love your little vase of flowers…horseradish…never would have guessed! Happy T day! Hugs! deb
Hi! Sorry I didn’t make it around to your blog yesterday; I ran out of time. Happy Belated T Day. Actually, I heard on the radio that today is National Iced Tea Day. It’s a good day for it! Yesterday would have been, too…ugh, that heat. :(
Wow, that garden is huge! Will you keep us updated throughout the summer about what is growing there (and at your place, too)? I think that would be really interesting to read about.
Take care and try to keep cool!
Your in-laws garden gate made me smile! It’s great that they share some garden space with you. What I would not give to have fresh strawberries! I’ve never seen horseradish flowers before-they’re pretty!
Fresh strawberries! Yummmmm! It’s a shame the critters want them all ;)
I’ve never grown horseradish; it sure is pretty.
Love your flowers!Wonderful post, my friend!
