Today for Second on the 2nd I’d like to share an art journal page from 2015. I decided to re-share this page as the journaling I wrote I still think about to this day. Alternate time lines, time travel, all that mind twisting sci-fi sort of business. It really intrigues me.

I started this page at craft club next door. I wasn’t feeling like making cards this time. I prepped the pages with tape down the spine and a thin coat of gesso at home so I’d be ready to play. I brought my gelatos, some pens and baby wipes for my fingers. The baby wipes work really well for both clean up and to get a little moisture on your fingers so the gelato moves more freely.
The next evening I sat watching TV with the unfinished page on my lap. Something came up about pondering and questioning…or perhaps something else triggered that in my mind. I just started free writing my thoughts. I have always been intrigued with the idea of time travel and parallel universe theories. What if there were an alternate timeline some how…some way?
If you could take a peek at your life in that time line the branched from a choice you made…would you look? Or would you be afraid to look?

Thanks for stopping by for Second on the 2nd.
Beautiful journal pages, very inspiring. Have 2nd on the 2nd, Valerie
Great second look on a post. I like sci-fi time travel stories, and alternate time line stories. But I don’t think I’m brave enough to see how my life would have been different if I had chosen alternate paths at key moments in my life.
I remember that post, and then, as now, I would definitely look to see if I made the right decision, especially when I made wrong ones in this timeline. It’s a great post to ponder and a wonderful question.
I’ve never had or even seen gelatos, so I love how the colors turned out and how they allow the words on the page to slightly show through. This is a great second look on the 2nd and I am sorry you had so much trouble getting it to us today.
A wonderful spread and I always love to see people writing on pages in their own hand. It shows courage to me as I usually make lots of mistakes if I try it
Thank you for the repost
Have a great day
Love Chrissie xx
How interesting. I have often wondered about the choices I have made and what would have happened if I had chosen a different path etc. There are books around with alternative endings. But the really good book I recently read about paralel universes and choices, is Dark Matter by Blake Crouch: A brilliant physicist named Jason Dessen is living in Chicago with his wife, Daniela, and son, Charlie. He is a true genius, and while there was a point in his late twenties when his research could have made him a star in his field, he instead chose a family-focused life. One night, while walking home, he’s abducted by a mysterious masked man and injected with a drug. When he next awakes, his world has completely changed. He’s no longer married, doesn’t have a son, and has achieved professional success beyond his wildest dreams. This sets him on a thrilling, mysterious, and at times terrifying journey to learn what has happened to him, and to find his way home to the people and the life he loves.
Look it up on Goodreads. It is really good.
Hope you had a good weekend,
Lisca
This is a cool almost galactic looking piece. I love the pop of the purple-pink against the dark blue. I didn’t see this before so nice to see it. Hope you’ve warmed up a bit. Hugs-Erika
