Another page in my cursed journal. Photographing this page proved to be a challenge. This was the best shot I could get and it still doesn’t have the look that it does in real life. I’m bummed because I think this is one of my very favorite pages EVER.
After I stamped and embossed the pocket watch image, it looked just too perfect. I took some sandpaper to it to mess it up a bit. This made me much happier. :)
I also had to show off my yarn haul from the thrift store. Woo-hoo…lots of knitting and crochet material for the less than the price of 2 average skeins.
Thrift stores used to have good prices in my area, but they are now almost TOO pricy. It’s good you can still find good bargains in your neck of the woods.
Gee, Halle, you should have let ME stamp that pocket watch, which I love BTW. Then you wouldn’t have had to rough it up (grin). I like this page, too. I really like the colors and the ephemera you used, too.
Sometimes the photo just doesn’t do it justice …. And I know what you mean about something being “too” perfect :) …. Lovely page – I love the color combos
Well I think your pages look really FABULOUS Halle, but I know what you mean about sometimes having a problem getting a true picture…
there are so many factors that can get in the way.
That color combo is one of my favorites!!!
I was thinking of playing with that palette when our Wed mixed media group gets together to play with monoprinting again.
All of that nice yarn should keep you busy for a little while ;)
oxo
love your journal page, love the colours, makes me want to be back in my craft room….no crafting for me until I get home from sitting on theses dogs!!
Happy T day!
