I’m playing along with Art Journal Journey again. The theme is masculine/feminine.
I started this background for a different challenge then abandoned it as it wasn’t going the direction I had envisioned. This gave me a great starting point to draw a face.
I’m certainly not great at faces but drawing with the eyes closed certainly helps. The way I figure is if I keep trying they’ve got to improve over time!
I added some paper and fabric collage with some found text to balance out the pages.
I love your journal-pages, and I am so glad they worked out so well for Art Journal Journey. She looks like she is expecting a lovely surprise, I like her face very much! Thanks for joining us again, always good to see you! Hugs, Valerie

You draw faces a whole lot better than anything I could ever draw. And of course, the background is truly remarkable. The various layers are so rich and add to the appeal and depth of the work. It is truly lovely. Can only “imagine” what that abandoned project could have been (grin). I assure you, it worked quite well for this challenge.
Your pages look great Halle…nice use of paper and fabric.
AND your face works beautifully for this spread.
I like it very much!
