Early Sunday morning I sat down to create. Getting my fingers full of paint and glue rejuvenates me. I used what was at hand.
Scrapbook paper, magazine cuttings, ribbon and washi tape just to name a few.
After creating this page I notice that the current theme for July on Art Journal Journey is Art for Art’s Sake hosted by Chris of Pearshapedcrafting. Don’t you just love it when things fall into place. It doesn’t always happen that so when it does…woohoo!
This is powerful, Halle. I am in awe and I really LOVE the messages you have conveyed. I love the circles, the random paint, and the bright and happy colors. Thanks for sharing this with us at Art Journal Journey and I also love it when coincidences happen!
Wow on this spread really all things have fallen perfectly in place! Just GORGEOUS Halle!
So happy you linked to Chris’ theme over at Art Journal Journey! Much appreciated!
A wonderful spread in an amazing style!
Happy July
Hugs, Susi
I love your beautiful AJ page Halle! It’s wonderful to get messy with paint isn’t it?!

What fabulous pages! I love the colours and sentiments that you used – perfect ?. Wishing you and yours a Happy Fourth of July! J ? x
Great piece of art Halle. I like using what’s on hand sometimes-for me it’s a good way to clean off my desk. Hope you had a good 4th. Hugs-Erika
Your “every day well lived…” quote is an inspiration. I’m glad everything fell into place for you with that theme :)
Lovely thought-provoking page, Halle. The background is beautifully composed. Every color appears to have a purpose in framing or highlighting. I wonder if that’s a gift you have or something that you learned in art school.
A page in harmony made very Array. I like it much.
