Hello from Minnesota! My name is Halle, pronounced Holly. I’m a wife, mother, artist, blogger, and special education paraprofessional.
This blog enables me to share my art and numerous hobbies which include sewing, knitting, crochet, soap making, photography, gardening, jewelry making, miniature terrain building, painting, thrifting, and enjoying the great outdoors. Occasionally, I may also share a snippet of my personal life.
On that note, I must tell you how blessed I have been to be able to pursue my passion for creating art and sharing it with others while remaining at home caring for my family for so many years. Upon returning to the workforce a few years ago, the balance between work, family, and creative endeavors remains a struggle.
Mr. G and I have been married over three decades after our quick courtship and elopement to Las Vegas despite or perhaps in spite of the naysayers. We have two adult children. Both have fled the nest into adulthood. We also have an over-sized Norwegian Forest cat named Marvin.
Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you’ll leave me a comment when you stop by a post. It’s always nice to hear what others are thinking.

Halle,
I love the treasures you’ve created! So much talent!! It will be great to see it in person.
Hi Halle,
I really love your blog, but I don’t visit often because I don’t get it via email. I use MailChimp for my email list but there are probably lots of ways to put an email signup on your blog. Thanks for visiting mine!
Hi Halle! I found you through Pinterest while searching for loom knit dishcloths. I found your blog post from January 18, 2012. Would you share your dishcloth pattern? One strand or two, what type of cast on and cast off, and the stitch you used for the body of the cloth? Thanks in advance for any info you can share.

Good Morning! from down here in New Iberia, LA.
I was looking for wind chimes to make when I discovered your bottlecap
one and fell in love with it. I think I have enough to make mine, especially if
I add the beads!!
I am a retired buyer, working artist. I do icons painted on fabric, fabric art,
quilts (especially Harry Potter), I make Christmas ornaments, and anything
creative I can find. I’m trying to make one of those journals, but the concept has not quiet settled in my mind.:)
Hi Halle,
Lovely blog! I wandered over via the monthly Art Journal Journey challenge, and got THERE from Paint Party Friday! I love and teach prose oriented art in Western Oregon, and do Cosmic Smashbooking inv conjunction with my art. Nadya
Hi Halle, I ran across a business card of yours from years back where you wrote the note “enjoy your new mini notebook”. I wonder what we swapped and with what group? We are also “tea friends” from way back. :) Just stopped by to say “hi”. I’m glad to see you’re still art-ing. I don’t have the time for it like I used to, but I do have an active etsy shop… rubyfloy.etsy.com See you around maybe? :) Nathalie
Good decision on the pin cushion, Halle. Not only is it something that Marvin won’t likely jump on (with all the pins and sharp objects – yikes), but the saucer is a great place to hold some accessories. Very clever as well as lovely.
A heartfelt card or drawing from a student is truly the best gift an educator can receive. I bet your students all love the new look. It’s lovely but subtle.
Belated Happy T-day! Eileen xx
P.S. You need to update your About Me reference to having two teens – sniff.
