This is a very powerful piece for me. I had no idea what I had in mind when I sat down to create today. I had this old canvas laying around that I had covered over an unattractive collage with gesso. I grabbed it and started playing. This piece just sort of evolved from things I had laying around. Maybe it was a release for me…we’ve had some ups and downs lately. Hopefully everything is on the right track again…

Well, here we are, 4 days into the new year and I haven’t created a thing yet. I am busy working on household projects. Hopefully this weekend I’ll get some time and inspiration.

Fireworks by my kiddo

Hoorah! I was able to get “T” completed today. The tag reads “Take time… before time takes you.” This was a quote by yours truly a couple years back. I had envisioned putting a tombstone on the page as well but didn’t find one I wanted to use.

I’m working in the second book of a 10 person round robin. This book has an ABC theme. We are each to pick 2-3 letters. I’ve decided on “M” and “T” but have only completed this one so far. I have my idea and materials picked for the second…just need time to put it together.

Time has been scarce as of late…it seems that we’ve got something going every day during this winter break. I try and sneak in some art time before bed but some nights I’m just too darn tired!

I’ve wanted to make this book for a very long time and finally got around to it.

It will easily allow us to keep track of the wines we’ve tried and leave comments to remind us about our thoughts. No more wasting money on a wine that we’ve tried and didn’t like.

our house is a flutter. The cooking, the cleaning, just look at the clutter!

By evening I hope the Legos are not on the floor, you never know who might knock on the door.

When the kids are tucked into their beds, I’ll do my impression of the big man in red.

Tomorrow morning will be here too soon, our guests will be here well before noon.

I hope your Christmas will be ever so great and wish you the best in 2008.

When I saw the Illustration Friday theme: Horizon, I immediately thought of this altered CD that is part of my perpetual calendar. It was painted with a children’s watercolor set on standard card stock.
