Time is flying!! It’s week 5 of Summer of Color already!
These colors always make me think of feed-sack cloth, vintage aprons and kitschy kitchens.
So what else could I do but an ode to a simpler time.
Not wanted to waste the extra paint I scraped it on another book page. After finishing the cherries page I love the look of the pages so much I decided to dress it up a bit .
It’s a two for one this week.
I’m super impressed. Love both of these. Never thought of kitchen kitsch. But it works SO well with these colors. And the “mop up” page was perfect. Loved the dots. They made the piece come to life.
Beautiful spreads- I especially love the cherries. This would make wonderful kitchen fabric !
Love your pages. I agree. The colors remind me of an old tablecloth that my grandmother used for “everyday”. Looked a lot like your cherries.
You really showed off the colors for this week. I really like the cherries!

Fabulous pages, so fun and summery!
Love these, especially those cherries.
I like all three – the bright cherries of yesteryear and the combinations of textures, dots, and text with that brilliant colour in the others.
Your pages all turned out great…I appreciate your waste not attitude and just look at the neat results: perfect label and quote too!
And your cherry page makes me think of oil cloth and just what you said!
