Hello and welcome to another edition of T stands for Tuesday along with Art Journal Journey: A Stitch in Time.
I have to admit this is my favorite so far of the pages I’ve created for A Stitch in Time. It has three of my favorites: a square page, warm color palette and vintage ephemera.
When working on a challenge I often am stepping outside my comfort zone either by the nature of the challenge or some self-imposed extra challenge. This was not one of those times.
I indulged myself in all my favorites. Old books and postage get me every time. I also mixed in some new scrapbook papers in coordinating colors. I like the mix, it gives it personality.
A good part of my stitching was hidden by the elements I added, but that’s ok. It adds interest. I am also loving these washi stickers I found on Amazon. The delicate botanical addition makes me smile.
My helper as I photograph my pages.
I thought I’d also give a little peek at how my garden is growing.
I had to move my containers that were alongside the garage onto the deck and into the fenced in shed garden.
A deer ate my potato plants down to nubs and started on my summer squash. UGH!
This garden is next to be pest proofed. A squirrel dug a hole between my tomato plants yesterday morning.
Today has me plugging away at my list
Wow! Is that a squash plant with that huge yellow flower? I think it’s fun to see people’s lovely deer photos, but then I hear how destructive they can be of residential plantings… And don’t get me started on squirrels lol Happy T Tuesday!
Beautiful art and photos. Glad your cat helps you! Your garden is looking great. Have a good week, happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
I’m sorry to hear about your deer and squirrel problems ~ Your garden is wonderful! Nice way to keep your to-do list too :) Enjoy your week!
Love your page, and I too love vintage ephemera, postage stamps, and stitching:)
Your garden looks amazing! Too bad there are critters looking to munch away or destroy the plants. Good luck with it. Happy T day!
Fabulous page, Halle. You’ve created several really pretty ones. I’d have to look back and see if this is my fave. I love the same things you do about it. I also like all the right angled layers. Washi stickers? I haven’t seen those yet!
Your garden is doing great. I was really impressed by the how big the squash plant has grown in its container.
Happy T-Day! Hugs, Eileen xx
I like your art and especially your helper there! Great garden, too. Sad some visitors have no respect. A happy T-day anways.
Beautiful page! The collaged elements look amazing, I’m loving the stitching and postage stamps that you added ?. So lovely to see Marvin too and your garden is looking fabulous! Wishing you a wonderful week and a Happy T Day! Take care! Hugs Jo x
I like your artwork, and your helper. Your garden looks fantastic. I don’t like squirrels. They eat the bird seed in my bird feeder. Happy T-Day!
I love your collaged journal page Halle. Your garden is growing fast. so far I have been safe with the wildlife and my tomato plants. there is something that comes in at night and digs in my big copper pot and two small ceramic pots. so holding my breath on the other plants. Happy T Kathy
Nice page. I like that washi sticker and your cute supervisor. Your garden looks great and I’m loving your garden glags. Take care and Happy ‘T Day
Happy T Day Halle. Wow your garden is looking good. We’ve been so dry that although mine is growing, it is not growing as fast as I would like. And that’s a great new page. I love the stamps. They really add some pop off the page interest. Nice work. Hugs-Erika
My apologies for visiting so late. My internet went out last night, then came back on again, only to go out a second time. It often happens when it rains, but it’s been so dry here, I didn’t realize it would be a problem. In fact, it went offline a third time while I was trying to publish a message to you.
You are really busy. I love that journal page you created. It’s a beauty. Like you, I love old postage stamps and I love to sew on paper, too. This is one incredible beauty and perfect for your theme at Art Journal Journey.
I can’t believe your squash. You have the biggest, most incredible blossoms on yours. Looks like you have blossoms and a couple of tomatoes on your tomato plants, too.
You have a really intense planner. I can’t believe all you accomplish in single day.
Thanks for sharing your art journal entry, your garden plants, and your cold refreshing drink with us for T this Tuesday.
Wow wonderful art and a beautiful garden.
Ugh, isn’t that so annoying when the animals eat your plants? It’s a good thing that you have that high enclosed fence.
I absolutely love your ephemera art page. It’s lovely!
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
Oh yes, that journal page is gorgeous. I love that colour combination too. A winner!
I’m sorry to hear your visitors have eaten your produce. So annoying! That is no good at all!
Your squash plant is growing fast! I hope you have some potato plants left. Our potato plants are ok, apart from one. We think that one of the neighbours dogs (who keep the deer away) accidentally sat on one and flattened it!
Happy belated T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
That is very pretty, so wonderfully designed!
How beautiful everything blooms and grows with you. You live so well with the cute cat!
Greetings Elke
I absolutely adore this journal page Halle! A brilliant vintage look!Your garden is looking great – I hope you can find a way to discourage those animals – they have no manners at all!!
Love your daily lists – I think I need to be more specific when making my lists – great way of carrying over too! Belated Happy T Day! Chrisx
Sorry to be so late calling in to see you Halle. I thought I had called earlier,, but must have been mistaken.
I do love your page, it has a wonderful vintage look with all the detail you added. A super inspiration page for your theme.
Yvonne xx
Lovely to know that this is your favourite page because of it containing so many elements that have special meaning to you. It is lovely!
What a shame that the wildlife around you has caused so many problems. I think the squirrels in our garden are so cute but … they do cause damage and it is surprising what we find growing in the lawn from their winter storage.
Hugs Neet xx
