Welcome to another edition of T stands for Tuesday!
Last week you may remember amidst celebrating our hostess Elizabeth’s birthday, I mentioned I had a busy week coming up. The reason was J and I were heading to Mother/Daughter camp for the third year in a row.
After a chilly rainy start the weather turned absolutely beautiful!! Mid 50’s and sunshine!! We were busy from dawn to dark. It was exhausting but fun. Before we even left for home I heard “next year when we come…”
We did lots of crafts….
journal and fiber wrapped pen with pompom
leather stamping…I plan to attach this to an upcoming journal
wooden chalkboard…I plan to do something more with this to make it a bit more pretty.
There was also a locker size magnetic white board decorated with fancy duck tape but that must have went to school already.
In addition there was horseback riding…
and the highropes course that included a zipline.
I wanted to embed a video here but it’s not working out…so you’ll have to imagine J zinging along a wire over a ravine. :)
We had a wonderful time!
This morning I sat with my coffee signing paperwork for my boy’s second day of driver’s training classroom instruction.
Time passes oh so quickly!!
I’ve got more paperwork to take care of today as well as a small mountain of laundry.
What are you doing today?
That sounds like a perfect camping trip to me-good weather, art and horseback riding!! I used to go camping a lot-when I was young:) I am in love with your leather stamped piece especially. Happy T day-and best of luck with the driving lessons.
It sounds like your camp had something for everyone. What fun! Happy T Tuesday :)
A mother/daughter camping trip sounds like fun and a special time together. The stamped leather piece is really interesting. I’ll be interested in seeing how you use it.

Your Mother/Daughter camp definitely sounds like something to look forward to each and every year…priceless memories being made and lots of cool stuff too.
Punching leather was always such fun.

Is my mind playing tricks on me, or was it Little J who was resistive of going on this trip the first year? Until she got there, that is. Glad the two of you have great bonding time together every year at this camp.
Wow, lots of activities, and lots of crafts. Seems like you got your money’s worth and the “boys” had together time, too. Was it cooking time, or take out time?
Glad you got the package. I hope you noticed the date, which was NOT a misprint (grin). I look forward to reading your thoughts on the project.
Thanks for sharing your mother/daughter weekend with us and your coffee you need in order to prepare yourself for Big J’s driving lessons.
Love that journal cover and pen!! sounds like a swingin’/zippin’ good time at camp…good luck with the drivers ed…that may be when my gray hairs started….grin* happy T day!
What a great time you had! Happy T day, Chrisx
What a fun time! I haven’t done leatherwork since high school, but I remember it fondly…even the smell of the leather and the feel of the steel and hammer. Nice!
Happy T Day! :)
How wonderful to have a mother/daughter camp to go to :D As far as I am aware there is no such thing over here, but I certainly would have gone if there were, when my daughter was a child :) It sure sounds like you had a smashing time together and with so many activities to interest you too. I love the leather stamping piece :D
Wishing you a Happy T Day and calm nerves for your son’s driving classes :D
Such a wonderful experience to have with your daughter! Love the art done on the journal and the pen.
Have a wonderful week
What great memories you and your daughter made with this trip!
Love the leather stamping, looking forward to seeing the journal that gets crowned with it.
Thanks for visiting and leaving me a comment this week………loved it
Sounds like mother/daughter camp was a blast! You made some really neat things. Thanks for your visit to my T post–we soaked the plank for 24 hours and kept the flame low (probably too low) because we were so paranoid about it catching fire, LOL!
