Good morning and welcome to another edition of T stands for Tuesday. Our hostess with the mostess, Elizabeth (along with her furry companion Bleubeard) is not a stickler for any sort of rules…she asks that we share a virtual beverage of your choice and whatever else you’d like to share for the week.
As I sat in the quiet this morning with my coffee I was thinking about all the changes that will be happening for the kids in a couple weeks. Both into new schools…High school and Middle school. I’m no longer an Elementary school parent. Then I look over at my coffee and see Playmobil horses and realize that they really are still just kids. Don’t grow up too fast…
Raising children can make you so aware of time passing. Proud of them when they take a big step (like new schools) but sad that they are getting just that bit older and eventually independent. Times of change.

OK, I’m laughing so hard I nearly wet my non-existent pants. From that camera angle, I have to ask what is the horse in back doing to the one in front (GRIN)!!!???!!!
summer always seemed like a nice time to slow things down abit…
but kids sure do seem to grow up in the blink of an eye…
Enjoy ♥ Enjoy
Happy T Day

p.s. nice horsies!
I think I tried every trick in the book to keep my kids from growing up too fast. NONE of them worked, and now I am watching my grandchildren grow even faster!
It will all be gone in a blink of an eye, so cherish each moment.
it certainly is bittersweet, watching your children grow at the blink of an eye…so enjoy every moment. I bet they are excited to be moving on to new schools! Happy T day and enjoy the rest of summer with the kids.
I can understand these thoughts. I’m also worried and excited at the same time about my son’s new school year. Also at times I wish I could stop time as I know these are the best years in our lives. Soon they will be all grown up and nothing will be the same anymore.
Have a great week
Susan
It will be an interesting ride…they will want to grow up, but then insist they still need their teddy bear. :) hope they have a great year, and you as well! ♥
They do grow up so fast!
Coffee is my morning companion, too. ;)
Happy T-Day! :)
I know just how you feel, having gone through these steps already. Just wait until the oldest graduates high school–another whole set of emotions!
Kids do grow up, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. I enjoy each new adventure as it comes. Happy T(ea) Day reflections :)
I still cannot believe it when I see my sister’s kids and think back to my wedding. My page boy is a father himself now. I hope my Great Nephew doesn’t grow too quick though!
Hugs
xx
Time flies :) and the older we get, the faster it goes! My Grandchildren range from 19 to 7…..and time still marches on :)
I love to see the family looks and mannerisms as they are passed on unknowingly and pop up in a smile or a gesture.
Happy Tuesday and happy memories :)
Hello and Happy T Day! You are feeling what we are all feeling at this time, back to school blues. How did it go by so fast AGAIN???? I have one starting her Senior year, the next is a Junior (going to vocational school) and the last one starting 7th grade. It comes up so fast and no matter how we much we prepare it still surprises us. This summer was more of a BIG KID/OLDER TEEN summer and not as much fun as in the past.
Happy you could find a glimpse of the child still in them this morning. Enjoy the last summer days and good luck on that first day.
it is fun the things that come to mind over a cuppa coffee or tea.
wishing your children wonderful experiences in their new schools and you too.
great new steps… wow!
All the best for them!
