Last evening I began thinking about this T stands for Tuesday post as well as my coffee theme altered book. The book that will seemingly never be finished at the rate I work in the darned thing. I have some ideas in my head about a cupboard filled with mismatched cups. I think I could cut them from scrapbook papers once I get some designs figured out.
I’m not in love with any of the handles on the cups…that is my issue. I’m thinking perhaps I could just do without most of them pretending that the cup handles are just facing away. More thought and experimentation is needed with this idea.
I have a few errands to run as well as trying to stop at knitting for a bit. Then it’s back home to work on some organizing. Not my favorite thing but I love it when it’s done!!
What are you doing today?
I like your cup handles :) I also like your idea about a cupboard of mismatched cups. I look forward to seeing it. Happy Tea Tuesday!
Wow, that brought back memories. I hope when you finish this book, that you will scan it and post it. After all, many have never seen it. Is it the same one I made the tip-in for? You better be careful, or you will catch up to my never ending 7 continent AB.
I hope some REAL artists can help you with your handle dilemma. I would be no help at all. Thanks for sharing your sketches, and that knock over the head reminding me I still have one of those ABs, too, as we both celebrate with coffee for T this Tuesday.
You are off to a great start and I think you cups look super Halle!
There is something about mismatched china and stacked cups that always speaks to me.
Happy T Day

Mismatched cups are very charming! The first two cups look especially good to me. I really like the variety of the cup shapes. Happy knitting and happy T day!
Happy T-day Halle!
The only thing I can say about your cups is the handles could be a bit larger, but I really like the different shapes you have going. I’m a mixed match cup type of gal too. I think it adds a little charm and personality. What I should say is that I am old enough that I’m way over the “It has to match” period of my life…..LOLO
I quite like your cups and handles Halle. I find them hard to sketch myself. I bet your pages will finish just fine! Happy T day!
I think your cups are fabulous and who says the handles have to be perfect ;) You won’t find perfect handles on a ‘seconds’ stall but the variety of cups will make you smile for your mis-match cupboard :) Happy T Day :D
Hi Halle!
I love your sketches! I know YOUR not happy with them but they are lovely…perhaps try drawing them where the handle doesn’t look cut off from the cup. Draw it like its part of the cup…. Lets see… what i mean is… See where the handle connects to the cup? Erase that line where it connects….Ah well its difficult to explain….lol Cannot wait to see your idea come to life! Happy Tday. Hugs! deb
I see nothing wrong with your cup handles… sometimes we are our own worst critics, don’t you think? I love the idea of cutting them from patterned papers and look forward to seeing how you get on. Happy T Tuesday to you! Annette
I think your cups look great. Was anyone at the knitting circle today?
I like the fact that you will be working on this journal for a long time so we will be able to see all the pages! These look good to me. Happy T-Day! :)
I love your cups-and the handles look ok to me! Sorry, I know that’s not helpful! Happy T Day, Chrisx
sounds like a fun idea for your book…I usually look at a real cup to help me get proportions right. it’s amazing all the shapes and sizes there are, and it’s easy to make the handle a bit too small. Your sketches look good to me… I hope you work it out to your satisfaction ’cause I think it’s brilliant! happy T day!
I think the top two are particularly good.
