Hello friends…I didn’t abandon linking up with Elizabeth and her T stands for Tuesday party. I just had to have a bit of a break. I intended on being here early today but life got in the way.
Here we have my token cup of tea. Twinings Earl Grey, in case you were wondering.
You likely didn’t care but I bet you have been wondering what happened with my tea dying experiment.
Well…I got a nice batch of yummy scraps.
Love the darkened edge on the cotton lace…
How the colors muted on the embroidery.
And the dark tips on the fancy trim.
Can’t wait to start using them in some…anything!
I have my craft area somewhat cleaned up but I hesitate to start using it until I’ve done some organizing. I may not be able to stop myself soon.
I ran across this photo on Pinterest. Made me laugh..but it’s true.
I love it when the plows do that…looks so cool and is very effective.
What are you doing today??
Thanks for the reminder, I need to put Earl Grey tea on the shopping list. Your tea dying looks very successful. I can’t get over all the snow and all the people who go out in it. I guess if you live in snow country you get used to it.

Oh how cool everything turned out!
Love the photo, people here do not know how to drive in the snow unless they are skiers.
WOW, I had NO idea that’s how MN gets rid of snow. We have ONE plow per road here. And we use a plow on the front and spray salt out the back (You would not want to be following closely).
Don’t you just LOVE the mottled look you get with this dyeing technique? I love those points. That is SO something I might make. Way to go, dear.
It was so cold here last night, poor Bleubeard’s water dish had ice on it this morning. And yes, it was in my frigid kitchen.
Thanks for joining T today. Really loved the look of that dyed lace and trim.
The lace and trims dyed nicely–I love the darker points. Isn’t it fun to see how things dye. I am looking forward to seeing what you are going to make with these goodies!
Cool tea-dyeing results! Happy T Day, and stay warm!
OMG, that picture is soooo funny, can’t imagine seeing that on my road either.
How pretty your tea dying came out, still need to try that. Not sure what I would do with the material after dying it though?? Will just enjoy yours for now.
Thanks for coming by and saying hello, good to see you again. Have a great week and stay warm!
Fun MN humor/truth you shared Halle! :)
Your tea dying is looking fabulous!!!
I was making a short second cup of tea using my fav Earl Grey tea and forgot about it on the counter…it looked wicked dark so I decided to toss in some bits of this and that that I found at junk shops over the weekend…I draped them on a barrel on our back porch to dry…bet they are frozen stiff…I will check on them in the morning :)

I’m a Minnesotan transplanted to Fargo. Same here, of course, with the snow. ;)
Love the lace!! :) Happy T-Day again.
