I’m thinking I’m going to subscribe to an art magazine this year. In the past I’ve had subscriptions to:
- Cloth, Paper, Scissors
- Somerset Studio
- Somerset Memories
If you could only get one subscription to any art magazine out there…which one would you choose and why?
Thanks in advance for your opinion.
I subscribed to Cloth Paper Scissors for several years but quit. It seems to be the same people each time, the same ideas, the same thing over and over. And I learned that I can read it for free online through my library!
My choice would be either Sew Somerset or Workshop. It’s actually my favorite, because you get four new and different techniques each quarter and there are tons of step out photos that don’t have you guessing what comes next. And although I’ve never seen a copy, I’ve heard good things about Going Green.
Sorry, I thought I should add Workshop is by Somerset Magazine, too. I THINK they also put out the green magazine that makes nice looking crafts out of junk. I’m also learning how to type my e-mail (grin).
I stopped by subscriptions to CPS and Somerset a couple of years ago…
I am so bad with art magazines and can hardly part with them…
SO
I decided I could just keep rereading my old issues and keep busy for a long while…
It would be a hard choice since each of those (all of the Somerset mags actually) have so much eye candy and inspiration.
I wasn’t any help at all :(
